What's The Next Step??
It's Time To Help Your Child Build
A Strong Reading Foundation
It's Time To Help Your Child Build A Strong Reading Foundation
I’m talking about phonemic awareness skills also known as speaking and reading skills.
Reading research shows that speaking and listening skills are far more important than most people realize.
Phonemic Awareness Skills are the foundation for learning to read easily.
In their book, “Know Better, Do Better”, David and Meredith Liben state “It is not an option to skip or shortchange phonemic awareness! Children without mastery of it will inevitably struggle.”
But how do you go about teaching these skills?
Like you many homeschool mamas want their child learning to read without fighting every lesson.
Using the right reading curriculum that teaches these skills and keeps your child's attention will make your homeschool experience successful.
You’re probably just like Daisy...
Meet Diasy, a homeschool Mom who wanted to start teaching her son to read.
But...
Nothing she’d tried so far made her feel confident that she could teach him and did not keep his attention, making reading lessons a huge pain.
Homeschool mamas like you and Daisy often try...
❌ Getting advice from Facebook groups
❌ Downloading reading worksheets from Pinterest
❌ Buying subscriptions to apps or workbooks that promise to teach reading skills
❌ Buying toys that are supposed to teach reading
❌ Using YouTube videos to learn how to teach reading
But These Do Not Work Because It's Not A Complete System!
Here's the TRUTH you need to know
about teaching your child to read.
Here's the TRUTH you need to know about teaching your child to read.
The real problem is you’re missing out on teaching speaking and listening skills so you’re basically putting the cart before the horse.
By focusing on letters without focusing on sounds only first, learning to read is 10x harder than it needs to be for your kid and more stressful for you.
Why is this happening anyway?
Most reading programs/curriculum available are not complete because they miss out on phonemic awareness skills.
You need a reading program that helps you to successfully homeschool your child!
Imagine if you could...

TESTIMONIALS
"I love that you have videos that teach the teacher how to teach reading. That is the biggest pro because it helped me to feel prepared for teaching. The other biggest pro is that it was fun!"
"This was honestly a great program. One of the best programs I have used for reading and this has been my son's favorite reading program. It is so fun and interactive and I love that you have videos that teach the teacher how to teach reading. That is the biggest pro because it helped me to feel prepared for teaching. The other biggest pro is that it was fun! We have used other reading programs before that my son dreaded but he looked forward to doing this. I don’t have any cons."

Korbalagae Kuawogai
Heya I’m Korbalagae Kuawogai and I’ve spent my entire adult life working with young children - 12 years teaching in classrooms across three different countries.
5 years developing curriculum for countries and supporting education reforms for governments.
I also worked as the lead consultant for the World Bank and designed a school readiness assessment system
Support young children and their families is my passion!
It wasn’t till I left the US education system and worked with other early childhood professionals from countries like the UK that I saw the gap we have here...
One day while taking a break at the Ministry of Education in Dubai, where I worked as the Head of Curriculum Development and Planning for Early Childhood Education, I decided to take a short walk and listen to a bit of NPR.
This was when I heard how terribly the US education system was failing children when it comes to reading...
I was in shock that the basics, phonics, had been pushed aside in favor of whole language.
But with that happening I was not surprised to see that we had not caught up to the rest of the world in focusing on the skills that really matter for early literacy development - phonemic awareness.
When schools shut down, I ended up speaking with so many friends and family back in the US who were struggling with their young children’s reading and I decided it was time to make a change...
It was time to come home and share the knowledge I’d gained and been sharing with other countries and education systems with the people in the US who could make the most immediate impact - homeschool mamas!
Many had been working hard to teach reading by cobbling together free worksheets and play-based activity ideas found online thinking that they would work just fine...
Amazing homeschool mamas like you had accepted that teaching reading was just hard and the fights and lack of attention was just part of the homeschool life.
They didn’t know what you now know…
They didn’t know that the idea of focusing speaking and listening skills as the foundation for teaching reading is very rare.
So rare that most of the resources available online do not focus on specific speaking and listening skills in every single lesson like they should.
These resources also do not make use of teaching letters in a systematic way.
They do not understand that the way children are introduced to letters and their sounds makes a huge difference in how easily they learn to read.
In fact you’ll have a hard time finding resources that teach letter sounds in a way that gets kids reading faster.
And many don’t teach letter sounds and blending at the same time so kids can get the skill repetition they need to be able to read fluently...
You can see how the gaps in these reading resources are making teaching reading harder for you!
As a homeschool mama you deserve to have a complete reading program that fills those gaps and allows you to teach reading without frustration.
And you can with the I Can Read Membership.

Frequently Asked Questions
I Can Read is designed to help children ages 3-7 who are learning to read.
Did you know the average reading tutor cost over $300 a month? This reading system saves you more than it costs. Often children end up in tutoring that costs thousands of dollars because they lack foundational reading skills. Can you afford the stress that comes with a child who is a struggling reader in the future?
Activities and random lessons don’t teach reading. What works is having an effective sequence of skills based lessons. While you can find so many things on Pinterest, you’ll not find another program just like the I Can Read course that gives you not only the reading resources but also the exclusive support you need.
You'll get done-for-you reading lessons for 5 days of teaching per week. How many days per week you choose to teach completely depends on you. You know best how fast or slow to go with your child.
Each lesson is designed to take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete. You will need to do minimal prep ahead of time for some lessons.
The scope and sequence shows you exactly what words and skills are included. It will help you to be sure this is the right program for your child.
